Getting Packed and Ready to Go

Having moved three times in my life (Orleans, Canada - Solingen, Germany; Solingen, Germany - Leipzig, Germany; Leipzig, Germany - Cologne, Germany) I am accustomed to moving and new places, yet this time it's Different. This time it is a new culture and I am leaving behind my family and friends. I grew-up in Europe, which in it's self is already a privilege however on top of that, I grew-up in a stable and loving home, which does make leaving a little bit difficult. Nevertheless, the time has come to jump ship, set sails, and explore the unknown all at once and make "it" (whatever "it" is) on my own. Life as I know it is coming to a sudden and abrupt end. As my friend put it - "Taking a huge leap of faith into the unknown."
My hangars knock each other filling my room with an eerie, lonely, metallic ringing

My Room is now almost completely packed with just a few things left. I am now down to 11 days left in Germany, 11 short days to take care of my last little things that always get over looked and to say good bye to everyone who I have come to know and cherish over the last years in Cologne.

My Boxes Which are being shipped. Hope none get lost!
Most of my books are packed, mainly the unread ones.

A little About Me and My Blog

This Blog is dedicated to the upcoming changes in my life, but where are my manners an introduction. I'm Luke, 20 years old and live in Germany. I am a third-culture-kid, having been born in Canada and moving to Germany at just four and a half years old. I moved here with my parents who are Salvation Army Officers in the summer of '97. Now almost 16 years later I will be moving "back" to Canada in order to attend Vancouver Island University.
